Lots of hearts..

There has been lots of stitching going on around here. Sewing up these little felt hearts to put on some necklaces.

 Felt bird pins underway...

Tin hearts with wings are coming along for a store order due Feb. 1.

Having fun with some new ideas for heart pins...

Heart garlands made from recycled book pages. Sewn together by sewing machine...quick and fun.
Idea from Dottie Angel's blog...

Off to Solvang for a fun art girls weekend overnight! Pam Garrison and Charlotte Lyons are coming up for a visit and it will be so good to see our Artfiberfest buddies!

What a bunch of happy hearts! And your art girls weekend sounds wonderful. I saw the garland on Dottie Angel's blog... very cute! What a creative way to recycle old unused books.

What a neat idea on the heart garland!
I recently became a follower of your blog and thought you might be interested in doing the same at decolourant.blogspot.com
If you haven't heard about deColourant, it is a new, exciting and recently named TOP 20 new product of CHA 2011. It removes and replaces the color of fabrics with ease. I think this product would be a great addition to your supplies and tons of neat ideas can be created with it!

Thanks everyone for your comments!
Marie, I just used tin containers from the thrift store that were already colored. I try and pick out tins that have interesting color areas that I can use. Part of the fun hunting at garage sales and thrift stores. Linda and Opie O'Brian teach classes in making tin jewelry..that's where I learned about tools and techniques. They have a great book out now.
