Pillows

I thought I would post some of the hooked pillows that I've made over the years. This is a big one and was inspired by the wonderful Karen Kahle. I worked on this while at one of her workshops. We had a great time hooking and dyeing wool and viewing her marvelous rugs up close.

Forest girl

Mushroom house

Teapot

Animals

An experiment using yarns, wool and a stitched applique bird in the center.

And here is Henry playing with his felt mouse. Could not resist the crocheted pillow from the thrift store for under $2. I put the flower piece on top, not sewn on yet!
Have a great weekend!

I LOVE all those gorgeous pillows, Mary! I took a workshop with Karen some years back. Her blog, catalogs, notes I took, all continue to inspire. Beautiful work!

Hi Mary....what wonderful hooked cushions..the big one is really amazing, rug hooking is something i have yet to try, at the moment i get more pleasure from seeing other peoples rugs than attempting one for myself...but i dare say i shall get round to having a go some day.

...Ps I am popping something in the post for you on Monday as a thank you for being such a wonderful bloggy friend....i hope you get it before xmas...
