Pumpkin mini wall hangings

a couple of little wall hangings I made from recycled wool sweaters and embellished with some fun novelty yarns and embroidery thread.
I think these could work for a kids art class.

I love your art!! it has inspired me to make some hooked dolls -- right now I am hooking with wool yarn and I really like it.

I have a question about your stitchery. Can you do the embroidery on anything, like t-shirts, and then should I back it with some kind of facing?

thanks Kim

Kim, it is easier to embroider on a "non-stretchy" fabric like cotton muslin or linen. I usually use a embroidery hoop to keep the fabric tight. You can "frame" the piece with fabric or make it into something and stuff it. Hope this helps...
