linen cats

A little linen cat family I worked on last night. Fun to see some personalities develop.

Had to share my thrift store find of the week...embroidery on indigo handwoven cotton.

I'm so jealous of your thrift shop find!!! The embroidery detail is wonderful and that indigo fabric!!!

Adore your linen kitties. There is something about linen I just love, so organic, but looks great with vibrant colours.

Take care and have a lovely weekend.

that was a fabulous find... obviously you love textiles. in the piece you wove for cloth to cloth... i was interested in the textural piece you wove with the wool. you said it was from an old kimono... do you know if it had been washed? i have a roll of that textured kimono fabric that has never been off the bolt. i found in at an estate sale. i don't know if i will lose the texture if i wash it? what do you think? thank you!

P.S Am thinking of buying some linen and incorporating it into my art. It must be lovely to stitch on. Thought of you last night as I stitched with some of the velvet you sent me. Love, love love it!
