Our stitching group inspired by the work of Sue Spargo met at Maren's lovely home on Monday evening.
Maren brought out one of her art quilts that she is currently working on. I LOVE it! What fun colors and fabric. She plans to add a thin blue border and then do some quilting.
Another one of Maren's art quilts....
Colleen's wonderful wool and velvet embroidered brooches.
Cathy brought this colorful art quilt for us to see. Made by Sue Spargo and Tonye Phillips.
Such great colors and lots of hand stitching.
Another quilt that Cathy brought.
Barbara's been stitching and learning lots of cool new embroidery stitches. She also brought hand dyed velvet and wool to share in delicious colors.
Flowers from Maren's garden
. What a fun evening of dining on fare from the garden, visiting with new friends, and lots of show and tell and even some sewing~

It must be so inspirational to meet with such a creative group! I have a lovely group of quilting friends, but they're very traditional and really don't get what I do.
Lovely flowers!
What a fun group of ladies and talented beyond belief.
You guys must laugh up a storm!
