Fun to be published!

I was surprised to find the new issue of Belle Armoire, the Artistry of Clothing & Accessories, in my mailbox the other day! Amanda Crabtree did a beautiful job on my article on Hooked Heart Pins. Great photography and the how-to section came out clear and concise. Jenny Doh let us use her hands for the hooking shots...mine are a bit more like gardeners hands!
One of the best parts was going down to visit the Stampington studios way back in November, the day before Thanksgiving and being part of the photo shoot and meeting all the wonderful Stampington ladies. I have a couple of more things coming up....something in Haute Handbags Fall issue and Somerset Sew in December.

Here's a little peak at an embroidery I've been working on...Tea Party in the Woods....not sure what I'm going to do with it, but I started it over a year ago and found it as I was cleaning my studio and thought I should at least finish it up.
The boys are going fishing again tomorrow and then we will celebrate the 4th of July with a family barbeque and picnic.
Hope you have a great 4th of July weekend with friends and family!

`Looks like a great magazine article - I hope it might make more people interested in learning about rug hooking from reading it. I was in Cambria last month and I'm sure I saw some of your heart pins in a great little shop there.
